Workshops in my Wiltshire garden studio
I`m pleased to be able to offer workshops
to small groups (up to 3)
in my garden studio in Wiltshire near Bath.
( Please note I have had to cancel all pending workshops due to health issues, I hope to be able to release new dates in the next few months)
With my guidance, you will create your own glistening seascape textile art, embellished with embroidered flowers inspired by the Cornish coastline.
You will use a range of manipulation techniques, such as heat treating and scouring fabrics to bring added texture to your work. You will layer fabrics onto a base and secure with free motion embroidery to add further detail to the piece.
The final stage will use hand embroidery to add flowers of your choice.
Suitable for those with some experience of free motion machine embroidery and wish to experiment more to produce a textile art seascape.

Coastal Flowers Workshop
My work draws inspiration from the surrounding Wiltshire countryside.
With my guidance, you will create your own machine embroidered Meadow textile art. Working on a base of water-soluble fabric over a layer of net.
You will use a range of techniques; mainly free motion machine embroidery stitched onto fabric that can then be washed away to leave a delicate and almost transparent embroidery. I will then show you how mount in a hoop.
Suitable for those with some experience of free motion machine embroidery and wish to experiment more to produce textile art.
